While most people would be completely surprised to hear about a good eating place in Seven Valleys, we would be even more surprised to hear about a great one. That is exactly what I was thinking as I was taken to Serenity-Station.

At first look it seems as normal as any other local establishment, until you go inside. It has a certain uniqueness that can be both “locally welcome” to “what a great setting”. My first visit was a special night planned that included hot tub, spa, and massage. This was followed by an exquisite dining experience that is second to none.

Serenity has a fabulous Five-Star Chef, Shawn Liang, that creates unique dining entrees that you will not forget. We started our meal with the cream of crab soup and fried calamari. The soup is a fantastic blend of flavors with not just the essence of crab, but is really in there. Have you heard the expression “you can’t eat just one”? Well that is what you will be doing when you try the fried calamari. Instead of a heavy battered appetizer that you have to chew through, you will receive a delicately breaded delight that you literally have to keep popping in your mouth.

Next came our entrees that were a work of art. The crab cake is so completely loaded with crab there is no room for anything else. It was broiled and seasoned to perfection, so much so that you can actually enjoy the taste of the back fin lump crab meat. Crab alone has such a wonderful taste that is so often hidden under the mirage of seasonings that leave you wondering if it was crab that was included.

Our other entrée was Asian Pork. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the description had me quite intrigued. The loins of pork came out in a wonderful sauce over a bed of perfectly done asparagus with maraschino cherries. Not what you would expect and that is exactly why it is so great. The pork was fork apart tender, and was a wonderful experience to put in your mouth.

We have also been there for lunch and equally pleased. The pizza is famous as is their paninni sandwiches. So whether for business or pleasure you will be doing yourself a disservice if you miss an opportunity to visit Serenity Station.
